Prior to joining EDO during its initial beta, Kevin was the General Manager & SVP of CNBC Digital which included CNBC.com, CNBC's top-rated mobile apps, CNBC's OTT apps, and CNBC PRO, plus its award-winning editorial reporting and digital video productions. While there, he tripled digital revenue with innovative TV-Digital advertising offerings and doubled audience reach. He also was a member of NBCUniversal's Executive Committee and led CNBC's strategic investment in Kensho Technologies and sat on Kensho's board as an observer. Kevin was previously the global head of Bloomberg Digital during its fastest growth period. Earlier, he was the VP of product and strategy for Yahoo! HotJobs and Yahoo! Small Business, both top five global businesses for Yahoo!. He was instrumental in transforming HotJobs, culminating in its sale at a premium to competitor Monster Worldwide. Previously, he was GM of LiveJournal.com and VP for ad products at LookSmart Ltd., which acquired his start-up Zeal.com. He started his career with McKinsey & Co. Kevin earned an A.B. in Economics from Harvard College.

Kevin is proudly the co-founder and chairman of the non-profit Lulu & Leo Fund and its flagship Choose Creativity curriculum. He lives in New York City with his family.

Daniel Nadler
Co-Founder

Daniel is the founder and CEO of Kensho Technologies, one of the fastest growing financial technology companies in modern history. Kensho is frequently cited as an industry leader in the application of AI and machine learning to financial market analysis and its strategic investors include Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Bank of America, Morgan Stanley, Citigroup, Wells Fargo, Standard & Poors, InQTel and Comcast, all of which are clients as well.

Daniel is regularly invited to speak at the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and the National Security Agency (NSA), and on Capitol Hill, before members and staff of the Senate Armed Services Committee, the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, and the Senate Appropriations Committee.

Daniel received his PhD from Harvard University and is currently the Director of Research for Financial Technology at Stanford University's School of Engineering. He previously served as a Visiting Scholar at the United States Federal Reserve.

Daniel is also a poet and futurist who has been profiled by the NYT, WSJ, CNBC, Forbes, and CNN. His first book of poetry, ‘Lacunae,’ was published in 2016 by Farrar Strauss Giroux.

Edward Norton
Co-Founder

Edward is one of the most celebrated actors of his generation and has starred in, produced, written, or directed over 30 films. He has been nominated for three Academy Awards and has won the Golden Globe, an Emmy, an Obie and numerous other awards for his work.

Edward has a substantial parallel career as a technology entrepreneur. In 2004 he was one of the founding investors of Baswood, a provider of technologically disruptive industrial and municipal scale wastewater digestion systems (recently named by Forbes as one of the most promising water technology startups). He ran the company as its Acting CEO in 2007-2008 and now serves as Chairman.

In 2010 Edward and three partners founded CrowdRise, a crowdfunding platform for charities and nonprofits that quickly grew into one of the largest charitable platforms in the world, processing over $500M in donations. Backed by Union Square Ventures, Spark Capital, and Index Ventures, Norton served in both a day to day executive role and as Chairman of the Board. In 2016, he drove the deal for CrowdRise to be acquired by GoFundMe. The combined company will process over $2B of donations in 2017 alone, making it the largest crowdfunding platform in the world. Norton now serves on GoFundMe’s Board of Directors.

As an investor, he has made early or seed stage investments and played strategic roles in companies such as Uber, Inventure/Tala, and Kensho.

Jim Breyer
Founding Investor and Board Member

Jim is the Founder and CEO of Breyer Capital, a global venture capital firm based in Menlo Park, CA. Jim has been an investor in over 40 consumer internet/technology companies that have completed successful public offerings or mergers, including Facebook, Etsy, Legendary, Datalogix, and Marvel Entertainment. As a lead investor and/or board member, Jim has assisted teams at over a dozen companies complete IPOs. Several of his investments have returned to investors over 100 times their cost, and over a dozen more have returned over 25 times cost.

Over the past several years, Jim has developed a deep personal and investment interest in long-term oriented entrepreneurs and teams working in artificial intelligence (AI) and human assisted intelligence (HAI), and he has made numerous investments in this space.

Jim currently serves on the board of directors of Blackstone and 21st Century Fox, where he is Chairman of the Compensation Committee and a member of the Nominating Committee. Jim served on Facebook’s board from 2005 to 2013 after leading the company’s Series A funding round. He served on Etsy’s board from 2008 to 2016 and was the company’s largest outside shareholder at the time of its IPO in 2015.

Randall Rothenberg
Chair of Advisory Board; Executive Chairman, Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB)

Rothenberg was CEO of the IAB from 2007 through 2020, and currently serves as Executive Chair of the digital media and marketing industry trade body. During his tenure, IAB grew to become one of the largest and most influential business associations in the United States, representing 750 brands, publishers, and technology companies, with affiliated IABs in 47 countries and regions.

Under his leadership, IAB opened the industry’s first major public policy office in Washington, D.C.; launched the IAB Tech Lab to oversee digital marketing technical standards; started an industry-leading training program that has certified more than 14,000 digital media sales professionals; created the IAB Digital Newfronts, the world’s largest marketplace for original digital video content; and published comprehensive research on brand disruption, the evolution of video, and the economic impact of the ad-supported Internet ecosystem.

Earlier in his career, Rothenberg was an editor, reporter, and columnist at The New York Times covering politics, technology, media, and advertising; the Chief Marketing Officer of the global management consultancy Booz Allen Hamilton; and the author of four books and scores of magazine articles on technology, communications, and culture.

Bob Kraut
Advisor; Yext; Tiff's Treats Cookie Delivery; EDO

Bob is an accomplished transformative executive with 14 years of experience in the restaurant business and over three decades of experience with some world's greatest brands. He served as EVP, CMO Captain D's, driving AUV growth, new store openings and brand transformation. As SVP, Global Chief Marketing Officer for Papa John's International, Bob was responsible for marketing the Papa John's brand in 38 countries over 4,700 locations. Bob led a brand renaissance launching the highly visible Peyton Manning campaign, reforming the new product development and calendar planning process, growing the e-commerce business to over 50% of sales, and introduced customer segmentation and analytics to the customer loyalty program—doubling the rate of sales growth and resulting in record sales.

As SVP, Brand Marketing & Advertising at Arby's Restaurant Group, Bob lead the highly publicized Arby's comeback Prior to that, Bob served YUM! Brands at Pizza Hut as Vice President, Marketing Communications and held a series of increasingly responsible marketing and advertising positions at General Motors including Director, GM Brand Marketing & Advertising Operations.

Bob also serves as Board Advisor to Tiff's Treats cookie delivery chain and YEXT, an award-winning leader in global location data management; he also is a Board member of the Harvard Business School Club of Dallas.

In 2014, Bob received the CMO Club's CMO of the Year Award. He attended the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.

Felicia Lipson
Interim Chief Marketing Officer

Felicia Lipson has a unique perspective on marketing and product management informed by over twenty years of leading businesses and teams to accelerate growth and profit.

Lipson Marketing has been retained by corporations such as American Express, Citigroup, TripAdvisor, and Prudential to develop marketing strategies, oversee product development, and implement customer acquisition & loyalty campaigns. A few highlights include leading mobile development for the Membership Rewards program, launching an online investments portal for Citigroup, and developing the American Express Gold Corporate Card for Small Business. Prior to starting her own firm, Felicia was Senior Director, Loyalty Marketing at American Express.

Felicia thoroughly enjoys her work and prides herself on being a strategic thought partner to her clients and on building experiences that delight customers. She holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA in History and Economics from Harvard College. Felicia resides in Manhattan and is a civic leader engaged with women in politics, alumni efforts, and musical arts.

Lou Tosto
Strategic Sales Advisor

Lou is a 30+ year veteran of the advertising sales industry where he has served in senior sales management roles at major media companies such as NBCU, Hearst, Linkstorm and Dow Jones.

At NBCU, Lou spent the last 10 years responsible for digital advertising revenue for the NBC News Group which included the digital, social and mobile properties of Today Show, NBC News, CNBC and MSNBC. As the digital lead within broadcast powerhouse NBCU, Lou played an important role in helping to unlock the power of multiplatform total audience media activations.

Lou had an early entry into the digital advertising marketplace as he ran sales for Smartmoney.com in 1997. His role at Smartmoney.com grew to that of General Manager for the site, which was an early pioneer in the digital publishing ecosystem. He has also held digital ad sales responsibilities as a VP at McGraw-Hill BusinessWeek and was SVP Sales at Linkstorm, a rich media start-up.

Lou has consistently worked for great companies that allowed him to bring new ideas to the advertising ecosystem. On joining EDO, Lou said “The digital advertising business has thrived because of its unique ability to provide measurement and accountability for digital ad executions. I truly believe that advertisers will benefit from unearthing those same learnings from their TV campaigns using EDO research services.”

Randall Kaplan
CEO, JUMP Investors; Co-Founder, Akamai Technologies

Randall is an experienced entrepreneur and venture capitalist with more than 20 years of experience in the technology industry. Randall has been an advisor to more than 50 companies and has served on the board of directors of many private companies and one public company.

Randall is a co-founder of Akamai Technologies, the global leader in Content Delivery Network (CDN) services, making the internet fast, reliable, and secure for its customers. Akamai serves nearly 25% of the world’s web traffic.

Randall is also the Founder and CEO of JUMP Investors, a venture capital and investment firm. Since its formation in 1999, JUMP has invested in more than 60 early-stage technology companies including Google, Seagate, and Postini. Randall is also the CEO and founder of Sandee, LLC, a travel company focused on the promotion of beaches and the beach tourism market around the world, and is the CEO of CollarCard, LLC, a 10-year old fast-growing promotional products company that makes patented men’s collar stays sold in more than 30 countries throughout the world.

Randall graduated from the University of Michigan in 1990 with Highest Distinction where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa during his junior year. Randall also graduated with honors from Northwestern University School of Law and in 2006 was the recipient of the first Distinguished Entrepreneur Award. Randall served on the Dean’s Advisory Committee at the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts at Michigan for 18 years, and he has served on the Northwestern School of Law board for the last 19 years.

Steve Shannon
Advisor, Yext; Foursquare; EDO

Steve is a 32+ year veteran in the car business. He currently consults for 3 digital technology companies: Yext, the leader in Digital Knowledge and Location Management, Foursquare, who enriches customer experiences through best-in-class Location Intelligence, and EDO, the leading data science solution for measuring search engagement that results from TV viewing.

Prior to this Steve served as CMO for Hyundai Motor America, responsible for all marketing activities including brand communications, dealer association advertising, all digital activities, CRM, sports sponsorships, and experiential efforts. He led multiple Super Bowl, Oscar, Grammy, and NCAA Football programs, and an award-winning multi-year integration with The Walking Dead. Before joining Hyundai, Steve spent more than 28 years at GM, in his final position serving as Executive Director of marketing and product planning for Cadillac. Other positions included General Manager of Buick and Saab USA, Executive Director of Marketing Services for GM Europe in Zurich Switzerland, and Director of Marketing of GM’s ground-breaking Saturn division. His undergraduate degree is from Harvard, with an MBA from Columbia.
